The empirical data is per insulation. Steel contains alloying elements such as chromium and molybdenum. These special carbides are difficult to dissolve, the diffusion rate of alloying elements is slow, and the holding time must be appropriately extended. In this test, factors such as the thickness and structure of the ball mill lining are taken into consideration, and the intermediate holding time is extended to 10 to 30 seconds, so that the eutectoid transformation is sufficient and the carbides are spheroidized. Comprehensive comparison found that under this heat treatment process, the mechanical properties of seven types of austenite-modified high manganese steel are generally better than those under the first heat treatment process. Compared with the first heat treatment process, in the second process, carbides are precipitated in the crystals of high manganese steel with various components. Materials without rare earth modification treatment generally have coarse grains and larger carbide particles. However, the grains of the samples treated with rare earth modification are obviously refined, and the carbide particles are obviously fine and dispersed, so the performance of the ball mill lining is better. Because carbides have a huge impact on various properties of the modified ball mill high manganese steel lining plate. The occurrence of carbide phases in high manganese steel for ball mill lining plates does not necessarily significantly reduce toughness. As long as it is reasonable, it will be a strengthened phase, and if it is not reasonable, it will be a brittle phase. If the carbides are distributed in a continuous network at the grain boundaries, and many carbides exist in the form of needles and large particles, it will inevitably lead to embrittlement of high manganese steel. If the carbides are granular, fine, and dispersed in the crystal, it is a strengthening phase. From the comparison of performance data, it can be seen that the carbides in the sample grains strengthen the austenite matrix, which improves the performance of the steel.
